Central Arizona Raceway (CAR) is a 3/8 mile clay oval located southeast of Phoenix in the Pinal County Fairgrounds at “Eleven Mile Corner”.  Racing divisions include dwarf cars, mini sprints, mod lites, factory stocks, super stocks, Barnett Harley Davidson Dirt Modifieds and Dirt Late Models.  The schedule starts in January with their winter series.  Big money races, the summers are so hot they shutdown for a month or so, check the schedule on their website.

This is a great place to race.  The only wall is a on the front straight a way.  The back stretch and corners are just banked, so if you get too high you just go over the bank and not into a wall.  Easier on equipment.  This track was a 1/2 mile and 1/4 mile track years ago.   At that time their was guardrail around the 1/2 mile track.  This track has gone through many changes, now they are Arizona’s fastest 3/8 mile clay oval track.

There is RV parking and overnight camping at the fairground, that’s on the same property, within walking distance.  Some racers come early to the big shows and make a vacation of it.  Hotels, restaurants and gas stations are in town about 11 miles west of the track.  The camping is the best, there is bond fires and gatherings, wide open fields for the kids to run and play.  It can get a little dusty a times.
DirtCars.net has been to this track many times, the parking lot is huge.  The concessions are under the big concrete grand stands with just about anything you can think of, including a souvenir area, t-shirts, hats, memorabilia and much more.  You will have fun at this track.  Visit : CentralAzRaceway.com today!
